About me
I’ve had the joy of sharing my life with many dogs over the years, each one lucky enough to reach their golden years. However, ageing brings new challenges—health, financial, and practical. I started this blog to share my experiences and my deep love for these golden oldies!
Since moving closer to family during the pandemic, I’ve been fortunate to have my parents’ beloved Nipper in my life. He’s a Jack Russell Terrier who will turn 17 in December, and he loves naps, nosework, and nice, gentle strolls. He has a naturally anxious nature, but we’ve worked on that for the last four years, and I’m excited to share more about his journey.
When I was finally able to adopt my own dog, I knew without a doubt I would seek out a senior hound. That’s when Bambi entered my life. She was surrendered at 15 years old, in desperate need of a loving retirement home. Bambi’s favourites are balls, bouncy walks, and basking in the sun. We celebrated her 16th birthday in May, but Bambi still believes she’s a puppy, earning her the nickname “Relentless!”
This blog is a space for me to share the ups and downs of being a pet parent to senior dogs. While it’s been a journey with plenty of challenges, it’s all worth it to have these sweet souls by my side.
